In this session Jason Nickerson of Monev Software will give an overview of the history of the Open Source CMS’s WordPress and Joomla. Jason will highlight how both CMS’s started as ‘forks’ of other open source projects and how both WordPress and Joomla have become the top CMS’s by following similar practices. Jason will also show how open source projects can learn from each other by discussing recent Joomla Development strategy changes inspired by the WordPress community.
